FFUK Stepping Up a Gear in Preparation for the Budget

The new budget is fast approaching on March 20th and Fair Fuel UK is contacting supporters to show their support. MP’s will be metting at Westminster on March 4th and FFUK are encouraging the public to enter their details into a database that will send an email to their local MP about cutting the price of fuel duty. The target of this stratgey is to get as many MPs at this meeting as possible to have an effect on the results of the budget.

FFUK achieved a 1p cut in fuel duty last year, which is a small step but was a huge leap for FFUK and for the public with the increasing costs of fuel. FFUK have also managed to prevent a 9p fuel rise over the last two years. From the FFUK poll, the results illustrated that “Over 70% of members of the public and businesses said they would spend more on essentials (e.g. food) and spend more in shops generally, thereby stimulating economic growth” said FFUK, not only decreasing the price of fuel but also giving a much needed boost to our economy.
